Oğuz Anbarlı, born in Eskişehir, completed his education at Maltepe University, Department of RTS with his master's thesis titled "Short Film Production Process and Its Impact on Festival Awards". He shared the same study with the participants at Istanbul Beyond24, 'Film Industry Conference Series and Career Space' held in 2018 and 2019.

 

He made her first attempt with Trigger in 2008 and then took part in many national and international festivals, especially Hisar Short Film Selection, İfsak, Istanbul Film Festival, with Pinhole, which she shot in 2015. His 2019 short film Mercan was a finalist in many international festivals. Anbarlı's last short film Mercan was acquired by BluTV in 2020 and Pinhole in 2021.

The director is still working on his first feature film, The Name of the Song.
